Early Life

Harry James Potter, born in Godric’s Hollow on July 1st to James and Lily Potter, is a Half Blood wizard and the main character in the fantasy series, Harry Potter.  At just over 1 years old, his parents were killed by the dark wizard Voldemort on October 31st. When Harry’s mom sacrificed herself for her son to live, Voldemort’s powers were lost after he tried to actually kill Harry, after Voldemort lost his power, he just… disappeared. But part of Voldemort’s soul got into Harry because a soul needs to be contained somewhere. Harry survived the killing curse with only a lightning scar above his left eyebrow. Harry was delivered to his Aunt Petunia’s and Uncle Vernon Dursley’s house. Aunt Petunia was the older sister of Lilly Potter(Evans). Aunt Petunia unwillingly raised Harry for 11 years. For 11 years,  Harry was clueless to the fact that he was actually a wizard. He was forced to clean the house of the Dursley’s and was feed very little. Very strange things were happening to Harry as he neared the age of 11. For example, when his Aunt Petunia tried to cut his hair, the next day his hair all grew back because he hated the haircut so much.

His True Identity

Exactly on Harry’s birthday, Harry was sent a letter inviting him to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Uncle Vernon was so mad and determined Harry not to find out about his true self. He made all the Dursley’s move out of the house to a far away boat. Hagrid the half-giant, revealed to Harry that he was a wizard, and together, they left the Dursley’s.

In Diagon Alley

Hagrid took Harry to the hidden(from muggles- non magic people) Diagon Alley. First stop was Gringotts, the wizard bank. Harry never realized that he was left so much wizard money. Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts. For most of his life, Harry was given no money or the proper clothes. They bought all the things that they needed for Hogwarts. The last thing was a wand which would be bought at bought at Ollivanders Wand Shop. Ollivander thought is was very curious how the Dark Wizard’s wand could be the brother wand of its victim. The wand was made of the feather from the same phoenix. Ollivander told Harry that people of the wizarding world will expect great things from him, since Voldemort did bad, but great things.

At lunch, Hagrid told Harry what happened to his parents. Hagrid didn’t believe that ‘You Know Who’ was human enough to die. Hagrid revealed that ‘You Know Who’s’ actual name was Voldemort, and was spoken of because he did so many horrible things.

Years at Hogwarts

Harry was sorted in Gryffindor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry was almost sorted into Slytherin because he had the part of Voldemort’s soul inside him who was a descendant of Salazar Slytherin. Harry made the right choice of choosing  Gryffindor over Slytherin. In Harry’s first year, Harry was sent his father’s invisibility cloak from Dumbledore, and made the Quidditch even when he wasn’t suppose to in his first year. Harry also faced Voldemort, who was living off of Professor Quirrel. The second year, Ginny Weasley opened the Chamber of Secrets and got taken into the chamber itself. Harry went with Ron and scared Professor Lockhart. Blocked by a mountain of rocks, Harry was separated from Ron and the memory-lost Lockhart. Facing a powerful memory of young Voldemort(Tom Riddle), and Slytherin’s monster itself(basilisk). He eventually destroyed the monster and the diary which Tom Riddle was getting powerful from. He got Ginny and everybody else safely back into the school. His third year, he found out that a cereal killer was after him and it was his dad’s best friend also his godfather, Sirius Black. When Harry and his friends went to comfort Hagrid because of the loss to his Hippogriff, when he was under the invisibility cloak with Ron and Hermione, Sirius Black attacked them as a dog because he was an animargus(person, by will, who can turn into a specific animal). Sirius revealed the truth about him and the reason why he was at Hogwarts. His former friend Peter Petigrew gave away secret information about Lily and James Potter, which is why they died. Harry then became really close to Sirius since he was his only nice family member. In the fourth year, Harry got entered in the Triwizard Tournament even though he was under age. Turns out that a fake Mad-Eye-Moody(Barty Crouch Jr.) put Harry’s name in the Goblet Fire so Harry can get Voldemort to rise to power again. Voldemort finally rised again, but into hiding with the rest of his Death Eaters(followers). Only in the fifth year, did Harry’s scar start hurting. He got signs that people were in danger, Sirius. When he arrived where Sirius was, he realized he had fallen into a trap. He risked Sirius’s life and Sirius died because he was killed by his cousin(Bellatrix Lestrange). The sixth year, Harry learned about young Voldemort and what he was up to in his young years. His final seventh year he didn’t go to Hogwarts because he had to defeat Voldemort.

Later Life

After he defeated Voldemort, he married Ginny Weasley, and together they had three kids. James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter, and Lilly Luna Potter.
